Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This policy explains how the iMill mobile app ("iMill", "the app", "we", "us") handles information. iMill is operated by Michael Juberg, based in New Zealand.
1. Information stored on your device
When you use iMill, you may enter the following. It is saved locally on your device, and we do not receive or have access to it:
- Wood types and price rates
- Estimates and sales, including line items, dimensions, notes, discounts and tax
- Optional customer names and contact details you add to a quote
- Photos you choose to attach to a line item
- Optional business profile details (name, phone, email, address)
- App settings such as theme, units, currency and language
Deleting the app removes this data from your device. Because it isn't stored on our servers, we cannot recover it for you, so we suggest exporting your sales to CSV regularly if you want a backup.
2. Photos and camera
If you attach a photo to a quote, iMill asks for permission to access your photo library or camera. Selected photos are used only inside the app on your device. We do not upload them.
3. Things you choose to share
When you share an estimate, invoice image or CSV file, iMill hands it to your device's share sheet and you choose where it goes (for example, Messages, email or Files). What happens to it after that is governed by the app or service you choose. iMill does not see or control that.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
iMill Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription. Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment card or Apple ID details.
To manage subscriptions and unlock Pro features, we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier, your purchase and subscription status (such as which plan is active and when it renews), and basic device and app information needed to validate purchases. RevenueCat does not receive your quotes, customer details or photos. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for how it handles this data.
5. App updates
iMill uses Expo's update service to deliver bug fixes and improvements. When the app checks for updates, standard technical information such as your device's platform, the app version and your IP address is sent to Expo's servers. See Expo's privacy policy.
6. What we don't do
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not show advertising.
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking in the app.
7. Contacting us and feedback
If you email us for support or send feedback from within the app, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and improve iMill, and we don't share it with anyone else.
8. Children
iMill is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your rights
Because we hold almost no personal information about you, there is usually little to access or delete. If you have questions about data we may hold, such as support emails, or want it deleted, contact us and we will respond promptly. If you're in New Zealand, you also have rights under the Privacy Act 2020, and if you're in the EU or UK, under applicable data protection law.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or on this page.
